Where can you start clear aligner treatment from Dikmen, Ayrancı or Balgat?
For patients who live or work in these three neighborhoods, one of the nearest options is Funda Sarıkaya Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic in Oran, Çankaya. At the clinic, clear aligner and other orthodontic treatments are planned by Funda Pekyılmaz Sarıkaya, specialist orthodontist (Uzm. Dt.). Clear aligner treatment uses the Invisalign system. For patients coming from neighborhoods far from the clinic, reducing the number of appointments is the priority, but in Dikmen, Ayrancı and Balgat the situation is different: proximity means being able to drop by the clinic at short notice when needed. This page covers ways to make good use of this advantage and the questions most often asked by patients from these neighborhoods.
Who comes to us from these neighborhoods?
Families who have lived for many years in the long-established neighborhoods of Ayrancı and Dikmen, people working in offices in Balgat and young families who have moved into new housing around the Dikmen valley make up the patient profile of this area. Three situations stand out:
- Adults who had treatment as teenagers and whose teeth have shifted again: When the retainer is not worn or the fixed retention wire breaks, teeth can move over time. This is a common situation in orthodontics.
- Patients with planned crowns, bridges or implants: It may be desirable to bring the teeth into the correct position before the prosthetic work is done.
- Working adults: People who do not want visible wires and want to fit appointments in between meetings and client calls.
What can be done if your teeth have shifted again years after treatment?
First, the current situation is examined: how much the teeth have moved, the condition of the gums and bone support, and whether there is a fixed wire left from the earlier treatment are assessed. For mild shifts, a short clear aligner treatment may be enough; for more noticeable changes, the duration and method differ. How the retention period will be managed after treatment is discussed from the start this time, because the way to prevent teeth from shifting again is consistent retention. You can find general information on this in our article why teeth shift again after orthodontic treatment, and the retention process at the clinic on our retainer after clear aligners page.
Where does orthodontics fit in if crowns or implants are planned?
A missing tooth, a tilted neighboring tooth or a narrowed space can make it harder to do the prosthetic work correctly. In these cases, orthodontic treatment often comes before the prosthesis: the teeth are aligned, and a suitable space for an implant or bridge is opened or closed. For details on bonding attachments and using aligners on crowned and filled teeth, take a look at our article clear aligners on teeth with crowns, fillings or implants. Planning around missing teeth is explained on our missing teeth and clear aligners page. Topics specific to older patients are on our Invisalign for older adults page.
When does living nearby come in handy?
In clear aligner treatment, scheduled check-ups are usually every 6–10 weeks. However, in between there may be small issues that can become important over time:
- An attachment coming off; since the aligner's grip on the tooth may weaken, replacing it soon is recommended.
- A new aligner not seating fully on a tooth; it is checked and guidance is given if needed.
- The edge of the aligner poking the tongue or cheek.
- A lost or broken aligner.
In these situations, you can first call 0312 911 60 36 or write to the same number via WhatsApp. Since you are close to the clinic, a short interim appointment can be arranged more easily if needed. If an aligner is lost, wearing the previous aligner until the orthodontist advises you helps prevent the teeth from shifting back.
How should you handle tea, coffee and meals at the office?
An office environment where tea and coffee are drunk frequently throughout the day is one of the things employees wearing clear aligners find most challenging. When the aligner is in, colored and sugary drinks come into contact with the teeth under the aligner and can also stain the aligner. For this reason, it is recommended to take the aligner out to drink tea and coffee, ideally in one sitting, and then rinse your mouth and put the aligner back in. Keeping an aligner case, a small toothbrush and toothpaste at your desk makes the routine after lunch easier. The rules on eating and drinking are detailed on our how to wear clear aligners page.
Are appointments possible during lunch break or after work?
The clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 09:00–20:00. Since check-up appointments are often short, it may be possible to come over from your workplace in Balgat or Ayrancı during lunch break and go back. Longer appointments, such as bonding attachments, IPR or the first aligner delivery, are more comfortable to schedule after work or on a Saturday. Since evening slots fill up quickly, we recommend booking your next date as you leave.
Where is the clinic?
The clinic is at Dükkan No:70 inside Park Oran Ofis on Kudüs Caddesi in Oran, Çankaya. It is next to Panora Mall and opposite One Tower Mall. Getting to Oran from Dikmen, Ayrancı and Balgat is usually a short trip, but the time varies depending on the hour and traffic. Simply enter 'Park Oran Ofis' into your navigation app; for public transport, you can check current route information in the EGO Cep'te app.
